Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a multicolor projecting image having excellent contrast and high resolution by reversably varying transparency of a thermal sensitive layer by temperature, and setting the spectral transmittance of the maximum absorption wavelength of a coloring layer to a specific value. CONSTITUTION:A base 1, a coloring layer 2, a thermal sensitive layer 3 and a protective layer 4 are provided. The layer 3 contains as main ingredients resin base material and organic low molecular substance dispersed in the base material, its transparency is reversibly varied by temperature, and the light transmittance when the transparency is minimum is 30% or less. The layer 2 is made by forming a stripelike or matrixlike regular array pattern on the base 1 or at least one layer, thereby coloring two or more colors on each array pattern in such a manner that, when a light of 450-700nm of wavelength band is radiated, its spectral transmittance of the maximum absorption wavelength is 20% or more.
