Abstract
PURPOSE:To determine the concentration and the like of a subject rapidly and highly precisely, by a method wherein a mixed solution of a subject sample in a test tube and a first reagent is sucked in a prescribed quantity and subjected to absorbance measurement, a mixed solution of the remaining mixed solution and a second reagent is sucked in a prescribed quantity and subjected to the absorbance measurement thereafter, and two measured values of the absorbance thus obtained are subjected to arithmetic processing. CONSTITUTION:A subject sample in a test tube 1 and a first reagent are mixed and made to react with each other, a reaction solution V0 thus obtained is introduced in a prescribed quantity into a flow cell 3 by a suction pump 5, and the absorbance of the reaction solution is measured by an absorbance measuring element. Thereafter a second reagent is mixed in the remaining reaction solution Vr in the test tube 1 and made to react therewith, a reaction solution thus obtained is sucked in a prescribed quantity Vs, and the absorbance thereof is measured by the absorbance measuring element. Then, first and second measured values of the absorbance are subjected to arithmetic processing to measure the concentration of a subject sample component or a unit corresponding to the concentration. By this method, the measurement of absorbance can be implemented rapidly and simply in one quantitative sample of a subject only by using one test tube.
