Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the start-up time of the title generator by introducing an inert gas for the time sufficient for driving out the residual gas after the shutdown of the generator, and further introducing the inert gas at a low flow rate at the time of cooling, nonuse, and reheating of the generator. CONSTITUTION:After the generator for gaseous RX, gaseous AX, etc., using a catalytic metal is stopped, an inert gas is introduced at a high flow rate for the time sufficient for driving out the residual gas in the generator, and the gas is preferably introduced by the volume 3-10 times the content volume of the generator. The inert gas is successively introduced at a low flow rate by the volume 0.3-2.5 times the content volume of the generator at the time of the cooling, nonuse, and reheating of the generator. As a result, since the inside of the generator is filled with the inert gas before start-up, seasoning is not required, and the need for no-load running by gaseous RX is eliminated.
