Abstract
PURPOSE:To ensure the steady operation for a long time by enclosing the rare gas other than the Xe gas into the Xe gas laser tube. CONSTITUTION:With addition of the rare gas such as He, Ne, Ar or the like of about 1-10 times as much as the Xe gas, the optimum enclosure gas pressure is increased and thus the gas pressure dependance is decreased for the otuput. As a result, the effect of the discharged impure gas, the clean-up and others can be suppressed inside the tube. Especially, the peak output and the laser conversion efficiency can be improved greatly with mixture of the He gas.
