Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the continuous line switching action from generating when a trouble occurs at both lines by providing a carrier detecting means to detect a carrier on a line not to connect a MODEM when switching is executed from one side to other side of the duplicated line and switching only when the carrier is detected. CONSTITUTION:A line switching device 1 transmits the data of both lines of duplicated data lines 5 and 6 and switches so as to receive the data from one side of the lines. A change-over switch 12 is at a line 51 side, and then, a switch 15 is switched to a line 61 side and the carrier on the line 61 is inputted to a carrier detecting part 14. Consequently, a supervising part 11 supervises a carrier detecting signal from a CD signal outputted from a MODEM 2 and a carrier detecting signal from the carrier detecting part 14 and when the trouble occurs at the line 51, the CD signal is discontinued. The supervising part 11, only when the SD signal is discontinued for a constant time and the carrier detecting part 14 detects the carrier on the line 61, switches the change-over switch 12 to the line 61 side. Thus, by interlocking to this, the switch 15 is switched to the line 51 side and the line 51 is connected to the carrier detecting part 14.
