Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect continuous paper in its condition of abnormal conveyance by continuously generating a pulse signal synchronizing with respectively right and left conveying speeds of the conveyed continuous paper and generating an error signal when the pulse signal advances or delays its phase from that of the other pulse signal, with either one of the pulse signals serving as the reference, continuing for the preset time or more. CONSTITUTION:A pulse signal, synchronizing respectively with right and left conveying speeds of conveyed continuous paper 10, is continuously generated from signal generating means 13R, 13L. Between the pulse signals from these signal generating means 13R, 13L, in the time with in a pulse width of these pulse signals, when each pulse signal continues its condition, that one pulse signal advances and delays its phase from that of another pulse signal with either the one pulse signal serving as the reference, for the preset time or more, an error signal is generated from a conveyance trouble detecting means deciding the continuous paper 10 to be in conveyance abnormality. By the method thus obtained, a device can be prevented from its trouble and break caused by abnormal conveyance of the continuous paper 10.
