Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform system reconstitution in a short time by making it possible to search automatically the trouble position for simultaneous troubles at the same position of duplex transmission pathes. CONSTITUTION:If troubles occur at position X on transmission pathes 2 and 2', the synchronizing trouble of transmission path 2 is detected in terminal stations 3a and 3b in the left from X. In terminal stations 3c and 3d, the synchronizing trouble of transmission path 2' is detected. Therefore, synchronizing trouble informing switch 33 or 33' is switched as shown by a dotted line. Here, as regards terminal station 3b, the synchronizing trouble is detected in the station itself because no signal from adjacent terminal station 3c comes to detector circuit 34'. Similarly, no signal comes from station 3b to detector circuit 34 in station 3c, however, the trouble position is discriminated by detecting synchronizing signals. Consequently, the central control unit detects the trouble because no synchronizing signal comes to transmission pathes 2 and 2', and instructs all stations to perform folding connection.
