PURPOSE:To make it possible to constitute automatically a special television signal transmitting circuit extending to a receiving terminal station via a repeater station by inserting a special television signal including a circuit supervisory pilot signal into a stand-by circuit and then by detecting the pilot signal at a halfway switching station. CONSTITUTION:Through circuit switching controller 2 of insertion station 1, a special television signal insertion switch 12 is controlled to send a special television signal to intermediate switching station 2 via a stand-by circuit. In switching station 2, special television circuit pilot signal detector 20 equipped to the stand-by circuit detects the television signal being sent and transmits the detection information to circuit switching controller 22.
