Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture oxide superconductor coil readily by laminating a plurality of ringed oxide superconductor layers which have a line of radial slit through a porous insulation layer and by conducting heat treatment to the edge facing the slit at oxygen atmosphere after connection by an oxide superconductor. CONSTITUTION:After composition elements of perovskite oxide superconductor such as Y, Ba and Cu are mixed, calcined, ground and shaped as desired, they are barned at about 850-980 deg.C. Then a ringed oxide superconductor layer 12 which has a line of radial slit 12a is formed and dried on an insulation substrate 11 by using oxide superconductor paste. A ringed insulation layer 13 which has a line of slit is formed by using ceramic composition of porous paste so that the slit 13a does not overlap with the slit 12a. Similarly, as oxide superconductor layer and an insulation layer are formed alternately, dried, sintered at 850-980 deg.C and processed to introduce oxygen to oxygen vacancy of crystal at oxygen atmosphere of 100-350 deg.C. In this way, it is possible to acquire a coil by using less-flexible oxygen superconductor and also to introduce oxygen to oxygen vacancy of crystal readily.
