Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the thermal conductivity and eliminate local heat emission by providing an insulating base board consisting of a metal base board covered with an electrically insulating layer containing enamel glass and aluminum nitride, and forming a heater pattern on this insulative base board. CONSTITUTION:A heater pattern is formed on an insulating base board 1 consisting of a metal base board covered with an electrical insulating layer 1b containing enamel glass and aluminum nitride. The thermal conductivity of this electrical insulative layer is enhanced through the action of the aluminum nitride contained in the electrical insulating layer 1b, and the thermal transfer from a heater element 2 diffuses to its periphery and conducted to the metal base board 1a to cause heating of a surface heater itself, and the heat is emitted from the heating surface. This reduces local heating on the heater element 2 to accomplish uniform temp. distribution of the heating surface.
