Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase rotary force of rotor and stabilize rotation, by providing a pawl section to a stator and engaging the pawl section with tooth section of the rotor. CONSTITUTION:A supersonic motor has a piezoelectric member 2 which vibrates with supersonic frequency upon application of voltage from a power source 1, and an approximately equilateral triangular pole paw section 3 is fixed integrally to one sideface at the tip side. A stator S is constructed with the piezoelectric member 2 and the pawl section 3. A rotary disk 4 provided with sawtooth section 4a at the outer circumferential face is provided rotatably through a rotary shaft 5 to the tip of the pawl section 3 thus constituting a rotor R. Upon vibration of the stator S, the pawl section 3 engages with the tooth section 4a of the rotary disk 4 and moves the rotary disk 4 by single pitch of the tooth section 4a for every vibration. A sensor fixing tool 6 is provided and the rotation of the rotary disk 4 is detected through a light emission element 7a and a photoreceptor element 7b. Consequently, the rotor R is rotated in the direction shown by a dashed line arrow.
