Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the convergent efficiency of an optical detector which handles color information by forming a large number of microlenses on one side of a substrate, and arranging and forming a color filter on the other side of the substrate confronting with respective microlens. CONSTITUTION:A plane lens plate 10 is constituted by arranging a large number of microlenses 12 on one side of the substrate 11 having a parallel flat plane and arranging the color filter 15 at a position confronting with each microlens 12 on the other side of the substrate, and the plane lens plate is arranged at the front plane of a solid-state image pickup element, etc. In such a way, it is possible to converge incident light 14 on the plane lens plate 12 by each lens part, and to make incident on an optical detecting part 17 effectively, and to improve the convergent efficiency remarkably. Also, since the color filter is provided on the opposite plane side of the substrate in common with the microlens, it is not required to provide the color filter on an irregular plane as in a conventional device, thereby, the color filter can easily be manufactured on a flat plane.
