Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of an image sensor by arranging a plurality of thin film elements so connected as to be reverse polarity between a photo diode and a blocking diode and wiring in matrix the elements. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of thin film elements 11 in whch a photodiode 12 laminated with CdS-CdTe-Te and a blocking diode 13 laminated with CdS-Te are so connected as to be reverse polarity therebetween, and are wired in matrix. A shift register 3 and an MOS switch 4 are connected to the elements 11 to form an image sensor. The CdS of the photo diode 12 is heat treated.
