Abstract

PURPOSE:To surely detect a speed and to exactly execute a stop at a target position by changing a turn-on-time of a motor in accordance wit a moving speed of a photographic lens. CONSTITUTION:A moving speed by a motor 1 is detected by a speed detecting means 2, its moving speed, and a deceleration curve stored by a storage means 3, being optimum for stopping a photographic lens at a target position are compared, and by a lens control means 4, the photographic lens is moved to a focused position along the deceleration curve. The lens control means 4 executes a speed control along the deceleration curve by applying the brake to the motor 1 in case the moving speed of the photographic lens is higher than the deceleration curve, and turning on or off the motor 1 in case said moving speed is lower. When the motor 1 is turned on in the vicinity of a target within the deceleration cure range, an acceleration being optimum for the moving speed is obtained by preventing an excessive acceleration, therefore, a motor turn-on limiting means is operated by a signal of the speed detecting means 2 and the motor 1 is turned off (or braked) forcibly. In such a way, the speed can be detected surely, and the stop accuracy is improved.
