CONSTITUTION:An edge splice sensor 8 which detects the edge spliced parts of long-sized negative films for photographic printing and a center splice sensor 7 which detects the spliced condition in the central part, in the position moved in the advancing direction or counter-advancing direction of the negative film from the installed position of the sensor 8 are provided. Either one of the detection signal ES of the sensor 8 or the detection signal CS of the sensor 7 is shifted 16 up to the moved position, whereby the output signals of the sensors 8 and 7 are discriminated.
