Abstract

PURPOSE:To divide a frequency band of a continuous-time system and to determine an estimated value of a frequency characteristic with high accuracy, by making input/output data of the system pass through a plurality of band-pass filters. CONSTITUTION:A transfer function G(S) 1 of a system of which a continuous time is unknown makes an output signal y(t) 3 generated when an input signal u(t) 2 is impressed. Input/output data u(t) and y(t) of this system are passed through a low-pass filter 4, a band-pass filter 5 and a high-pass filter 6 to be divided into each frequency band, and thus each signal is obtained. These input/ output data of three kinds are made discrete respectively by using samplers 7-9 being different sampling periods. Three kinds of discrete input/output data thus obtained are introduced into an analyzer 10 constituted mainly by microprocessors. The analyzer 10 applies numerically-stable UD breakdown algorithms 11-13 to each discrete input/output data to determine a transfer function in each band, and then an entire frequency characteristic is determined from the transfer functions of the separate bands.
