Abstract

PURPOSE:To actively damp the vibration of a vibrated body occurring along with drive for readily realizing precise positioning and high speed operation by emitting sound waves for damping vibration toward a vibrated section. CONSTITUTION:Vibration damping sound waves are emitted toward a vibrated section so that the sound pressure may restrain the vibration of a vibrated body. Actual positioning devices or high speed operation devices may have a plurality of characteristic value resonance in their transfer characteristics, i.e., free vibration is generated at these characteristic values due to step feed movements, for example.
