Abstract
PURPOSE:To temper the entire area of parts to be hardened respectively at adequate heating temps. by decreasing the winding diameters in the prescribed position of a multi-wound heating coil successively from an end face side and subjecting the coil to one-shot heating while pressing and contacting magnetic bodies to a cylindrical body. CONSTITUTION:The multi-wound heating coil C is disposed to face the cylindrical body W by parting the winding bore of the coil at a prescribed spacing from the outside circumference of the cylindrical part Wp of the cylindrical body. In addition, the coil is disposed by setting the winding length at the length sufficiently larger than the overall length of the cylindrical body W. The plural numbers of turns c1, c2 in the prescribed position near the longitudinal center of the windings of the coil C are decreased successively by every prescribed number from c0 on the side of the end face direction so that the winding c2 of the min winding diameter is opposed at the prescribed spacing to the circumference of a shaft part Ws. While the magnetic bodies 1a, 1b are respectively pressed and contacted to the end face in the shaft part Ws of the cylindrical body W and the end face of the cylindrical part Wp, the coil is subjected to the one-shot heating for the prescribed period of time. The overall length of the shaft part Ws including the R part of the cylindrical body W is thereby uniformly heated up to the prescribed temp. The cylindrical part Wp is uniformly heated up to the prescribed low temp. different from the temp. of the shaft part Ws according to the shape of the magnetic bodies 1a, 1b and the winding diameter of the coils, by which the cylindrical part and the shaft part are respectively tempered.
