Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a hot spraying material for repair which is improved in corrosion resistance, adhesiveness, adhesion and mechanical strength by adding specific powdery sodium silicate and phosphates to a refractory mixture which contains superfine particles of silica and is adjusted in grain size. CONSTITUTION:This hot spraying material for repair is prepd. by mixing the powdery sodium silicate (A) having <=50mu central grain size and contg. SiO2/Na2 O=2.6-2.8 and the phosphates (B) at B/A=0.05-1 (weight ratio) mixing ratio and adding the same at 2-8wt.% in total thereof to the refractory mixture which contains the superfine particles of silica and is adjusted in grain size. The superfine particles of silica which are produced at the time of producing ferrosilicon and are the spherical particles having <=1mu central grain size are more preferable as the superfine ferrosilicon to be used. The content of the powdery sodium silicate is undesirable in terms of refractoriness, adhesiveness and adhesion, etc., if the ratio thereof is SiO2/Na2O=2.6 or below. The tackiness is too high and such is undesirable in terms of application at SiO2/Na2O=2.8 or above. There is a problem in terms of the dissolution rate in water at >=50mu central grain size.
