Abstract

PURPOSE:To form images of dyes on a base material of any type by transferring images on the base material utilizing a transfer sheet comprising a substrate sheet having thereon a resin adapted to be dyed. CONSTITUTION:An image receiving layer 2 of a dyeable resin for receiving images of dyes thereof is releasably provided on a substrate sheet 1. A transfer sheet A for transferring the image receiving layer is thermal transferred to a various types of transferable base materials B by means of a thermal roll or by the action of hot stamping and so forth. A transfer sheet B comprising a substrate sheet 6 having thereon a dye transfer layer 7 is brought into contact with the image receiving layer formed by the action of thermal transfer to transfer the dyes in the form of images, whereby images in the form of letters, photographs, pictures or the like can be formed on the image receiving layer 2 on a transferable base material 10.
