Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable tension to be eased in a base cloth moving direction, continuous molding/vulcanization to be performed and dimensional precision/manufacturing efficiency to be improved by providing a plurality of slits in the width direction of reinforcing cloth. CONSTITUTION:Long-size reinforcing cloth 2 applied with hydrogenated NBR on the both surfaces is transferred from a roller 4 around which the cloth is wound to a roller 5. Then the cloth is continuously introduced into a preliminary vulcanization pan 7. A slit is formed using a cutter in the width direction of a base cloth 50 which is half vulcanized inside the preliminary vulcanization pan. After this, a part 52 between the slits 51 is conducted into the molding/vulcanization pan 9 and is molded and vulcanized. The cloth is molded into a diaphragm consisting of a flange part 11, a convolution part 13 which rises from the flange part 11 in a bent form and a center plate part 12 which connects the convolution part 13 likewise in a bent form. This molded form is vulcanized at the same time, and then is secondarily vulcanized using a vulcanization pan 10 into a diaphragm. The part 52 between the slits is a part to begin with for the manufacture of a diaphragm, so that a tension applied to the base cloth 50 is eased by the slits. Thus a diaphragm with high-precision size can be manufactured.
