Abstract

PURPOSE:To mount a lead terminal on a battery equipped with explosion prevention function by making an electricity collecting part of the lead terminal in the form of a ring or partially notched ring, welding this electricity collecting part to the bottom periphery of the battery container, and mounting the lead terminal to this battery container. CONSTITUTION:Small wall thickness part 4 for preventing explosion is formed at a boss 2a in the bottom center of a battery container 1, wherein an electricity collecting part 6 of a lead terminal 5 is formed in a ring or a partially notched ring and welded to that peripheral part 2b of the battery container 1 bottom which is free of small wall thickness part 4. According to this arrangement, mounting of the lead terminal 5 does not damage the small wall thickness part, nor the electricity collecting part 6 sinks the explosion preventive function.
