Abstract

PURPOSE:To arrange a light source at an optional place without any limitation by utilizing an end surface effectively and then enabling an optical fiber to be used as an optical transmitting means. CONSTITUTION:Laser light oscillated by an oscillator 9 is split by a beam splitter 10 into two. One is reflected by a reflecting mirror 11 and passed through a concave lens 12 to obtain reference light and the other is reflected 13, passed through a convex lens 14, and projected on a body 15; and the light reflected by the body 15 is projected on a hologram original plate 8 as scattered light (object light) to record interference fringes on a photosensitive material 7. Then light which is diffracted by a master hologram 16 is made incident on the end surface of the hologram original plate 19 arranged at an image formation position as reference light to record interference fringes on the real image surface of the body. Consequently, the light from the laser oscillator is sent by the optical fiber 4 and made incident on the end surface of the hologram 3, so that a stereoscopic image can be observed in front of and behind the surface of the hologram 3 with eyes 5.
