NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by formula I (R1 and R2 are H or lower alkyl; R3 and R4 are H, lower alkoxy, amino or halogen; R5 and R6 are lower alkyl or R5 and R6 together with N are bonded to form 1-pyrrolidinyl or piperidino) and an acid addition salt thereof. EXAMPLE:N-{ 4-(2-(Dimethylamino) ethoxy]benzyl }-2-methoxy-5-sulfamoylbenza mide. USE:A reactivator for motion of digestive tube having excellent activating action on digestive tube, useful for improving various indefinite complaint symptoms followed by reduction in motion function of gastrointestinal tract. PREPARATION:A carboxylic acid shown by formula II is converted into a reactive derivative thereof (acid chloride, acid anhydride or mixed acid anhy dride) and reacted with an amine shown by formula III including a novel com pound in the presence or absence of a base (e.g. pyridine or picoline) in an inert organic solvent (e.g. ether or benzene) to give a compound shown by formula I.
