Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain easily a fire-resistant and heat-resistant plate applicable to curved surfaces, by interlaying a thin metallic plate between two sheets of synthetic cloth topcoated or directly coated with a fire retardant rubber or a plastics as a thin layer or by joining a synthetic cloth and a metallic plate. CONSTITUTION:A fire-resistant and heat-resistant plate, effective to protect the flame propagation, can be obtained, e.g. by interlaying an aluminum plate 2 between two sheets of polyester cloth 1 topcoated with fire retardant acrylic rubber in such a way that the surface of the latter is the exterior, and joining it by use of a fire retardant adhesive on its interface. This plate is easily processed into a defined size, its weight can be decreased and it can be easily attached not only on planes but also on curved surface. In this case, instead of fire acrylic rubber, the topping with another fire retardant rubber or plastics may be applied, and the cloth may be other type of synthetic cloth without restricting to polyester cloth. As a metallic plate, the copper having a high thermal conductivity also may be employed.
