Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the cycle time and consequently enhance the production efficiency by a method wherein the time, which is required for the forward speed of a screw to lower to the set value, is measured and the dwell process in the following cycle is brought to an end on the basis of said measured time. CONSTITUTION:A time counter 40 starts time-counting at the change-over point, which is determined on the basis of the position signal of an injection screw 12 (or the oil pressure signal of an oil chamber 18), from a filling process to a dwell process. During the dwell process, firstly the first stage pressure is kept and, after the predetermined period of time, changed over to the second stage pressure value. After that, when the speed of the screw 12 lowers to the speed value Vs, which is set at a screw speed setter 34, the time counter 40 stops time-counting. The time, which is obtained by adding an allowed time T to the time measured with the time counter 40, is set to a dwell and time setter 44. After said set time, a dwell process end signal is outputted so as to change-over the working state of a servo valve 20. Accordingly, no inutile dwell time develops and consequently the cycle time can be reduced.
