Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable mass production of a novel glycoprotein having human G-CSF activity by culturing mammalian cells which are transformed with a recombinant vector containing the gene coding the polypeptide with human G-CSF activity. CONSTITUTION:Mammalian cells such as human CHU-1 cells are transformed with a recombinant vector containing the gene having the base sequence participating transcription, originating from the human chromosome which codes the polypeptide having human G-CSF (human granulocyte colonystimulating factor). The transformed mammalian cells are cultured in a usual manner to collect the glycoprotein having G-SCF activity, consisting the peptide moiety and the polysaccharide one.
