Abstract
PURPOSE:To automatically control recording according to use by recording character data as a series of pack data for a text code in a subcode area plural times and at the same time, recording continuously the same pack data by only the portion of frames capable of being reproduced at the time of high speed search. CONSTITUTION:The subcode area of a recording track consists of eight blocks, and the subcode data of respective block is composed of four packs of sixty-four bits per one pack. Thirty-three characters can be recorded as character data in one pack to the utmost, and the first five characters come to be a search code for program searching, and the whole characters come to be the text code for display. These characters are read out by controlling the contents of a storage circuit for data 28 and the storage circuit for ID 29 by a control circuit 30. Next, only the portion capable of being read surely at the time of the displaying and the high speed search, is automatically recorded in a tape. Thus, the name of music can be surely searched and displayed.
