Abstract
PURPOSE: To remarkably improve flow rate control characteristics of a primary side refrigerant by controlling to drive a flow regulating valve according to a drive pulse generated based on a synchronizing pulse set in response to heat exchange characteristics between primary and secondary refrigerants in a heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION: A heat exchange unit 10 of a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus has a heat exchanger 3 for heat exchanging a secondary side refrigerant with a primary side refrigerant supplied from a chilling unit 1 via a pump 6. A controller 13 for controlling a three-way valve 11 for regulating a flow of the primary refrigerant from the unit 1 to the exchanger 3 generates a drive pulse for regulating to drive the valve 11 in response to a detected temperature state of the sensor 12 for detecting a temperature of the secondary refrigerant by using a synchronizing pulse set in response to heat exchange characteristics between the primary and secondary refrigerants. Thus, a flow rate of the primary refrigerant can be switched to a plurality of stages.
