Abstract

PURPOSE:To uniformize surface in a revolving scroll as well as to prevent abnormal abrasion from occurring by forming a receiving part, supporting the revolving scroll, in a frame to be installed in an enclosed case, and making this receiving part into such a form that thins its wall thickness gradually toward the central part side from the terminal part side. CONSTITUTION:A scroll compressor is provided with a scroll compressor part 3 at the upper side of a frame 2 installed in an enclosed case 1 and a motor part 4 at the lower side, respectively. It continuously varies a compression space S in a gap with a fixed scroll 8 by turning a revolving scroll 11 of the scroll compressor part 3 with rotation of a crankshaft 5 or an output shaft of the motor part 4, whereby it compresses a refrigerant out of a suction pipe 19 and discharges it out of a discharge pipe 14. In this case, a receiving part 30, supporting an end plate 9 of the revolving scroll 11, is formed in the frame 2. This receiving part 30 is formed so as to thin its wall thickness gradually toward the central part side or the bore part from the terminal side, namely, an inverted taper form.
