Abstract

PURPOSE:To automate an entire analyzing process and thereby to prevent the infection of an analysis operator with a sample infected with a contagion, by a method wherein a reaction product which is combined with a solid phase after a peculiar reaction occurs is cleansed by spraying it with a cleansing liquid under the action of a centrifugal force. CONSTITUTION:A rotor 2 driven by a stepping motor is provided along with a turntable-type sample tray 1. On the upper side of the rotor 2, a microplate mounting element 3 for mounting a microplate 4 is formed. Besides, a disk- shaped spray support 5 having eight sprays 22 is provided at the center part of the rotor 2 concentrically therewith. After a peculiar reaction occurs in a well 44, the rotor 2 is sprayed with a cleansing liquid by the sprays 22 while it is rotated. The cleansing liquid is applied onto the whole surface of the rotor 2 and scattered outside the rotor 2 by a centrifugal force generated by the rotation of the rotor 2 and strikes against an outer wall 29, and then it is gathered in a discharge channel 30 and discharged therethrough. By the outward flow caused by this centrifugal force, the inside of the well 44 is cleansed and free type antibodies are removed from the inside of th well.
