Abstract

PURPOSE:To miniaturize a resolver, by constituting the same so that a reference voltage is supplied to the resolver from an oscillator generating a high frequency signal. CONSTITUTION:A resolver RZ 1 generates the output signal consisting of an Sin wave and a Cos wave corresponding to the angle of rotation of a rotary shaft and a resolver digital signal converter 2 converts said output signal to a digital signal having appropriate resolving power. An oscillator 5 receives the supply of DC voltage to generate a low voltage high frequency signal (e.g. ; 1kHz, 5V) to supply the same to the RZ1 as a reference signal and a scale converting part 3 converts the approximate resolving power of the digital signal to arbitrary one. By this method, since the Sin wave and Cos wave are transmitted from the RZ 1 and the high frequency signal is supplied to the RZ 1 as the reference signal by the oscillator 5, the resolver itself can be miniaturized. Further, since the table of the converting part 3 is set to an arbitrary conversion value after the output signal of the RZ 1 is converted to the digital signal by the converter 2, arbitrary resolving power is set by the operation of only rewriting the table to make it possible to output an angle of rotation representing arbitrary resolving power.
