Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable the transfer to the curved surface section by a method wherein a transfer sheet printed with a pattern on the transparent or semitransparent vinyl chloride film is placed on the transferred material coated with adhesive and after said film is pressurized, heated and sealed under the vacuum condition, the vinyl chloride is removed therefrom and coated thereon with the resin. CONSTITUTION: A transfer sheet is prepared by printing a pattern on a transparent or semitransparent vinyl chloride film surface with gravure ink comprising cellulose nitrate and ethyl acetate. An adhesive coated material to be transferred which is on the surface of the furniture material with the curved concave and convex sections is set in a vacuum molding apparatus on which the pattern section of a transfer sheet is positioned so that said patterns are superimposed. Further, rubber sheets are superimposed and pressurized, and the adhesive and patterns are adhered after the pressurized material to be transferred has been left in a vacuum atmosphere at 80 deg.C for 2 min. Then, only the vinyl chloride film is peeled off and a pattern is completely transferred to the adhesive surface. Thereafter, when urethane resin is coated on the pattern surface, the original pattern is accurately transferred thereto according to the shape.
