Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain stable synchronism and the best beam output by setting beam intensity corresponding to the sensitivity of a medium to be irradiated and supplying a beam having the maximum intensity to a photodetector as a generation source for a horizontal synchronizing signal. CONSTITUTION:The beam of a laser light source 1 is projected on an optical deflector 5 through an optical modulator 3. The deflector 5 rotates at a constant speed and its reflected light is scanned on the object medium 7 at a constant period. A control circuit 10 inputs an information signal and a reference signal corresponding to the sensitivity of the medium 7 and outputs them to an optical modulator driving device 11 as a modulating signal. Then when the beam scanned on the photodetector 8, the horizontal scanning synchronizing signal is generated to maximize the output voltage of the circuit 10 throughout the scanning period.
