Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a high-accuracy digital signal by converting the analog signal of an earthquake wave measured by a sensor into a digital signal by an AD converter which has >=2 DA converters. CONSTITUTION:The analog signal of the earthquake wave from the sensor is supplied to a comparator CP through a sample holding circuit S/H. This comparator CP, a sequential comparing register SAR connected to its output side, digital-analog converters DAC-1 and DAC-2, and an adder A constitute the AD converter. The digital-analog converters DAC-1 and DAC-2 are so constituted that several low-order bits are used for correction and the remaining high-order bits are combined into one signal and inputted to the comparator CP. A CPU reads error data out of a nonvolatile memory ME and adds or subtracts it to or from the processing data of the AD converter to obtain the digital signal.
