Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent an output of a light emitting element from affecting on other wavelength band by detecting a radiated wavelength of the light emitting element and interrupting the optical output of the light emitting element when the change in the wavelength of the light emitting element exceeds the permissible limit. CONSTITUTION:The oscillated wavelength of the light emitting element 1 is detected by a wavelength detection circuit 2 and the result of detection and the setting wavelength of the light emitting element 1 are compared by a comparator circuit 4. When the difference between the wavelength of the light emitting element 1 and the said wavelength is set level or below (or over), a control circuit 5 applies control to pass the light to an optical switch 6. When the wavelength of the light emitting element 1 and the set wavelength are set level or over (or below), the control circuit 5 applies the control to interrupt the light from the optical switch 6 and then the optical output of the light emitting element 1 is interrupted. When the difference between the output wavelength of the light emitting element 1 and the set wavelength is a permissible value or over, since the output of the light emitting element 1 is interrupted, no crosstalk takes place.
