Abstract
PURPOSE:To efficiently treat digested sludge by properly returning the concd. and digested sludge to a squeezer while passing the digested sludge through an ultrafilter membrane treatment device and discharging the permeated liquid to the outside of the system. CONSTITUTION:The squeezed liquid is supplied to a fermentation chamber 4 and is subjected to a methane fermentation treatment when raw materials for fermentation such as domestic animal dung are charged into the squeezer 2. The digested sludge is then discharged to a digested sludge storage tank 5. The sludge is fed by a force-feed pump P2 to the ultrafilter membrane treatment device 7. Part thereof is permeated through an ultrafilter membrane and is discharged to the outside of the system. The non-permeated component is returned by a return pipe 8 to the digested sludge storage tank 5. The digested sludge concd. in such a manner is fed by a return pump P3 to the fermentation chamber 4 or to the squeezer 2, by which the sludge is circulated and concd. The need for chemicals such as flocculating agent is thereby eliminated and since the concn. of the pollutant contained in the permeated liquid discharged to the outside of the system is low, the load of the water discharge system is reduced.
