Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the density of magnesium and to prevent the contamination of a furnace body, etc., by loading containers with the caps thereof held open into the furnace body, transferring the containers toward a take-out port and closing the caps before the magnesium contained in a brazing filler metal gasifies. CONSTITUTION:The internal temp. in the furnace body is higher gradually from a loading port 7 toward the take-out port 9 and attains the max. temp. T1 just before the port 9. The cap 22 of the carrier box 20 consists of different metallic plates which are different in the coefft. of thermal expansion similar to bimetals. This cap is automatically opened and closed by the ambient temps. A work W is housed into the box 20 and the cap 22 thereof is opened half. These boxes are then supplied successively from a loading base 4 into a loading chamber 3 and after the inside of the chamber 3 is evacuated by a vacuum pump 15 to the same vacuum as the vacuum in the furnace body 1, a loading door 8 is opened and the carrier boxes are fed by a transfer device 13 into the furnace body 1 where the boxes are imposed on a conveyor 2. The boxes are transferred at a prescribed speed and are successively taken out of the take-out port through a take-out port chamber 5, by which the treatment is completed.
