Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce a rush processing time and to decrease the disorder of a screen during rush processing by synchronizing the start of an S/S reproduction rush processing with a heat switching pulse, confirming the input of a reproduction control signal and performing the stop processing of the same tape as an ordinary frame sending. CONSTITUTION:When the rush to the S/S (slow or still) reproduction is instructed, the start of the S/S reproduction rush processing is synchronized with a head switching pulse (e), a speed control is switched from the ordinary reproduction to a slow reproduction intermediate speed control, and the speed is electrically and mechanically reduced. Simultaneously, after the confirmation of a reproduction control signal (f), which is the latter stage of the ordinary frame sending, a counter torque (d) is generated after the delay for the portion of the time in a slow tracking mono-multi signal (g), and the stop processing to stop a capstan motor is performed. Further, the tape is stopped near a prescribed tape position, and thereafter the ordinary frame sending processing to correct the condition to be stopped at the position slightly deviating from the prescribed tape position is performed for one time. Thus, the rush processing time can be reduced, and the disorder of the screen at the time of the rush can be decreased.
