In reproduction, since the mechanical drive system is in servo-controlled with a control signal recorded on the control track, sufficient reproduction is made practically. Since the mechanical drive system is controlled based on the vertical synchronizing pulse VS in the reproduction video signal even if this is recorded with other VTR, normal drive control is not made and the reproduction is made impossible because of distorted synchronism recording.
