Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve dimensional accuracy while increasing tensile strength, and to prevent cracking by disposing sheathing members consisting of at least two layers of polyimide films and epoxy resin layers on to two surfaces as the cut surfaces of a film capacitor element. CONSTITUTION:Evaporating electrodes 2, 3 composed of Al, etc., are formed onto both surfaces of a diclectric film 1 made up of a PPS film, and coating dielectric films 4, 5 consisting of PPO are shaped, thus preparing a double-side evaporated and double-side coated film. The double-side evaporated and double- side coated films are laminated, and electrode leading-out sections 6, 7 arc formed for leading out electrodes from the evaporating electrodes 2, 3, thus acquiring a strip capacitor in long size. The strip capacitor is cut in 4.6mm width, and thermo-setting sheets called prepreg sheets in which epoxy resin layers 8b are shaped onto polyimide films 8a are stuck onto two surfaces as the cut surfaces of the cut capacitor. A sheathing member 8 is formed through heating curing, thus obtaining a laminated film chip capacitor.
