CONSTITUTION:A metal core wire 1 made of Cu, Al, or high strength steel is covered with a superconductor 2 of Y, Ba, Cu oxide type, which in turn is covered with Ag 3. A plastic covering over this Ag enhances weatherability and retention of insulating performance.
