Abstract

PURPOSE: To raise the under-water insulating characteristics of winding end and also to make cooling better by covering the winding end portion with a cold-setting type silicone rubber of a thickness of less than specific value.
CONSTITUTION: The winding end portion 2 of stator is covered with the cold setting type silicone rubber 7 of less than 3 mm thickness. Thus, the occurrence of cracks in insulated layer can be prevented because of the great elasticity of silicone rubber and also the destruction of the silicone rubber structure can be eliminated bacause of its thickness of as much as 3 mm or less, thus enhancing the under- water insulating characterisrics and also the cooling efficiency of the winding end portion 2.
