Abstract

PURPOSE:To digitally demodulate a composite signal with a simple constitution by separating a pilot signal from a composite signal to remove approximately the same frequency component as the higher harmonics of an approximate sine wave and demodulating a sub-voice signal based on it. CONSTITUTION:For a composite signal including a pilot signal, the pilot signal is separated through a filter 1 and a BPF 3. An opposite phase pilot signal and a signal to delay 4 the output signal of the filter 1 are added 6 and the pilot signal is removed. On the other hand, the pilot signal is converted into the digital signal of one bit with a detecting circuit 71 of a generating circuit 7, and the signal delayed with a delaying circuit 72 and the output signal of the circuit 71 go to rectangular waves through an exclusive (OR) circuit 75.
