Abstract

CONSTITUTION:A reproduced signal supplied to an input terminal 18 is amplified by the gain switching circuit 19 with a prescribed gain and the amplified signal is fetched from an output terminal 20 and also supplied to a level detecting circuit 21. An envelope signal extracted by the circuit 21 is respectively supplied to a high level comparator 22 and low level comparator 23. A detecting pules outputted from the comparator 22 is supplied to a counter circuit 23, and when the count value is increased, the gain of the gain control circuit 19 is dropped. On the other hand, a detecting pulse outputted from the circuit 23 is supplied to a counter circuit 27, and when the count value is increased, the gain of the circuit 19 is increased.
