Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve shape holdability at an early stage after operation and to prevent the leakage of a filler material, by containing hydroxyapatite [Ca5(PO4)3OH] particles and a self-curing material and using an aqueous org. acid solution having pH=5 or less to fix said particles. CONSTITUTION:Hydroxyapatite [Ca5(PO4)3OH] particles are pref. obtained through heat-treatment at 700 deg.C or more. As a self-curing material, a powder having a particle size of 100 mesh or less obtained by grinding tricalcium alpha-phosphate and tetracalcium phosphate is pref. Tricalcium alpha-phosphate and tetracalcium phosphate are cured by the addition and mixing of an aqueous org. acid solution having pH=5 or less to act as the self-curing material. Therefore, when tricalcium alpha-phosphate and tetracalcium phosphate are used along with hydroxyapatite, the shape holdability of the filler material containing hydroxyapatite particles at an early stage is improved and the leakage of the filler material can be prevented.
