PURPOSE:To obtain a laser device, in which the optical frequency difference of two polarization is varied and stabilized and which outputs stabilized two frequency cross polarization laser beams without having an effect on one laser beam frequency even when optical frequency difference is controlled and is proper to an optical heterodyne interference method, by respectively providing specific laser-beam generating means, optical means, controller, etc. CONSTITUTION:There are provided a first laser-beam generating means 30 projecting the laser beam 41 of linearly polarized light at stabilized optical frequency, a second laser-beam generating means 31 projecting the laser beams 43 of linearly polarized light having the plane of polarization orthogonal to laser beams 41 at optical frequency different from said optical frequency, optical means 34, 35 synchronizing laser beams 41, 43 so that the planes of polarization are crossed at right angles and separating one part 47 of the synthetic beams, a polarizer 36 converting the synthetic beams 47 into linearly polarized light 48 having one plane of polarization, a photodetector 37 detecting the intensity of the linearly polarized light 48, a means 38 generating a reference frequency signal, a controller 39 generating an output signal in response to frequency difference between the reference frequency signal and the electric signal of the photodetector 37, and a cavity length regulator 40 controlling the optical frequency of the second laser-beam generating means 31 in response to an output signal from the controller 39.
