Abstract
PURPOSE:To make the thickness of an electric carpet or the like thin, reduce the number of components, and improve the assembly workability by integrally covering a human body detecting means and a heating element with an insulating soft member to form a heating cord. CONSTITUTION:A heating cord 14 is constituted of a human body detecting means 11 and a heating element 12. A pressure conducting rubber 11a which is made conductive when the pressure is applied and its electric resistance is decreased is pinched between electrodes 11b, 11c to form the detecting means 11, the heating element 12 is wound with a heating wire, a heat-sensing layer, and a heat detecting wire in sequence around a center core thread, the resistance value of the heat-sensing layer is reduced at a high temperature, and it is dissolved at the higher temperature. A carpet is obtained by providing a groove 43 on a heat insulating material 21, inserting the heating cord 14, and sticking a temperature equalizing plate 44 and a surface cloth 45. A layer-shaped detecting means used in the past is not required, the thickness can be made thin, work processes are reduced, and the assembly efficiency can be improved.
