Abstract
PURPOSE: To keep high reliability even under severe conditions, by arranging a pair of electrodes made of metallic films at a specified interval on the surface of an insulating sheet, and connecting the electrodes integrally by at least one or more heaters made of metallic films. CONSTITUTION: A pair of electrodes 33 are arranged at a specified interval on the surface of a insulating film 31, and two heaters 35 are arranged between this pair of electrodes 33. Then, these electrode 33 and heaters 35 are made integrally of metallic films. A heater 35 and an electrode 33 consisting of nickel chromium, tantalum nitride, or other metallic films are made on the insulating sheet. What is more, these heater 35 and electrode 35 may be single layers or composite layers. In an igniter 35 for ignition device constituted as mentioned above, a current flows into the heater 35 via the electrode 33, and thermal energy is converted in this heater 35, and the heater 35 generates heat, and heat is radiated.
