Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain molten steel having high C and low S under high heat efficiency by burning reducing gas generated with coke combustion by gas for aiding combustion in a cylindrical furnace and changing only exhaust dust to duct for refining after melting scrap, to execute the refining. CONSTITUTION:The exhaust duct 1-2 is connected with the furnace body 1 and the coke is charged from the changing hole 1-3 to level above gas blowing nozzles 2-1 at the lowest step and the scrap is charged on the coke packing zone 4 into the duct 1-2 to form the scrap packing zone 5. Next, the gas for aiding combustion is blown from the nozzles 2-1 and/or furnace bottom tuyeres 3 at the furnace bottom to generate CO gas and when the CO gas invades into the scrap packing zone 5, the gas for aiding combustion is blown from nozzles 2-2 at upper step facing the packing zone 5 to burn CO gas, and the scrap is melted to store the droplet into molten basin 6.
